9th April 2013 Project Update:

Internal alterations to Sommerville Weir Hall and the Three Sisters Bake, Quarriers Village.

Somerville Weir Hall was the first building erected by the founder of Quarriers, William Quarrier. Originally known as Central Building, it was completed on 17 September 1878 and was first used as a school, church and children's home.

Site start is due to commence over the next month. Alex McKay Construction Ltd. of Port Glasgow are main contractors and are taking on the the installation of a new DDA compliant platform lift and new accessible WC, which will serve the 'Three SistersBake,' cafe and restaurant who currently occupy the ground floor and the wider community of Quarriers. This will provide accessibility to 1st floor for private and public functions. The function hall is used for public discplays, concerts, scouts and other activities, threfore this is a significant improvement to the building.

The Three Sisters Bake is highly recommended for breakfast, lunch, Sunday roast or an afternoon coffee with a slice of cake. Visit www.threesistersbake.co.uk for more info.

9th April 2013

Paul McShane Architecture has now been trading for just over a year now since 6th April 2012. In that time there have been a number of achievements and in many respects the business has exceeded expectations, which is encouraging especially in such uncertain times.

In 2012-2013, we establihsed the foundation upon which the businsess now looks to reinforce over the forthcoming years. The business is still very young, but already we are building our reputation and growing awareness through new business contacts, new clients and above all through providing a reliable efficient and flexible service.

I would personally like to thank those who have made this 1st year in business successful, relatively stress free and enjoyable, from Clients, family and friends to fellow businesses that we are currently engaged with.

Here's to 2013-14, a new financial year with new challenges!

Best wishes,

Paul
