The Existing house was split over 2 levels with the living room accesssed on the split level. With extensive grounds, there was an opportunity for a large extension. The Client approached Us with a view to forming a new large kitchen, new dining room and lounge with a new master bedroom suite, complete with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe over on the 1st floor. The lounge on the split level would become a secondary family room. The internal layout was reorganised to create a dwelling that becomes progressively more private on the upper levels, with the existing bedrooms being retained on the 1st floor level.
The design was developed around the dining room, which forms the centre point of the house. This idea was taken on board and the brief developed with the Client to achieve a layout which worked for entertaining and also family.
The entire property was renovated internally and externally to give a 70s built dwelling a modern feel.
